Physical therapy at Fizio Impuls is not a fixed package of procedures. Every patient is assessed first, and the plan follows the assessment.
What we treat
- lower back pain and sciatica
- neck and shoulder pain, including tension-related problems from desk work
- knee, hip and shoulder joint pain
- rehabilitation after fractures, sprains and ligament injuries
- rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery — knee, hip, shoulder
- tendon problems: Achilles tendinopathy, tennis and golfer’s elbow, plantar fasciitis
- carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve entrapment problems
- osteoarthritis and osteoporosis — exercise programmes suited to the diagnosis
- posture and gait problems, including foot-related overload
- sports injuries and return-to-activity programmes
How the first visit works
The first appointment is an examination and functional assessment: how you move, where the restriction is, what is compensating and what is being overloaded. Based on that we agree on a plan and the expected number of sessions. If we find something that needs a doctor first, we will say so and refer you on.
Bring any imaging results and medical reports you have, and clothing you can move in. A referral is not required.
Methods and equipment
Manual therapy and medical exercise
Hands-on treatment of soft tissue and joints, combined with kinesiotherapy — targeted exercise taught and supervised, so that you can eventually continue on your own. This is the part that produces lasting results.
Equipment-based therapy
- TECAR therapy — radiofrequency-based treatment used to reduce inflammation and pain and to speed up tissue recovery
- Laser therapy and magnetotherapy
- Therapeutic ultrasound
- Electrotherapy — TENS, interferential currents
- Vacuum therapy
- Kinesiology taping
Equipment is used to support the process, not as a substitute for it. Passive treatment alone rarely holds.
Orthopaedic insoles and aids
We carry out 3D foot and gait analysis and make individual orthotic insoles on site, and orthopaedic aids can be ordered through the clinic. Details (in Serbian).
